Normally I'm the first to defend Elementalists, and I love playing them, but I really feel the need to correct you on this. Elementalists can inflict the most raw damage with a single spell, but they do not necesarily inflict the "best damage", whatever that means anyways. For example, an assassin can usually kill an enemy much faster than an elementalist. PvE is about more than nuking raw dmg at enemies.
